A scenery & wildlife safari tour stopping at the Sweetwaters and the Samburu game reserve in 4 days, 3 nights. Tour provides opportunities to view the snow -capped peaks of Mount Kenya and wildlife at the Olpejeta sanctuary. You shall marvel at the diversity of Kenya's climate zones and spot unique animal species at Samburu including Grevys Zebra, Reticulated giraffe, Oryx, Somali ostrich, Gerenuk etc.. Safari departs Nairobi and proceeds via the central highlands of Kenya with subsistence, pineapple, coffee and tea plantations along the route. Transport and game viewing drives is by custom designed open top safari minivan. Option of a 4 x 4 land cruiser jeep is at an extra cost.

Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Ol-Pejeta (220km: 3-4 Hours)

• 0730hrs: Pick up from Nairobi airport /Nairobi hotel
• Leave Nairobi for the Mount Kenya national park.
• Today the safari route shall be via the agricultural zones of central Kenya.
• There shall be stops to view tea / coffee plantations and a main local market.
• Afternoon game viewing drives at the Olpejeta.Overnight at Serena Sweetwaters camp
• Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner 
• What you may see at Mount Kenya National Park, Elephants, Tree Hyrax, white tailed mongoose, suni, black fronted duiker, mole rat, bushbucks, waterbucks and Elands.

Day 2: Ol-Pejeta - Samburu (180 Kms, 3 Hrs)

• Proceed to the Samburu Game Reserve.
• The easy scenic drive is via the Kenya highlands and the semi-arid frontier district.
• Along the breath taking drive we shall experience four climatic zones.
• Afternoon game viewing drives along the banks of Ewaso Nyiro River.
• Overnight at your samburu safari lodge/ tented camp
• Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Samburu

• Day shall be spent at the Samburu game reserve with unlimited game viewing drives along the banks of the Ewaso nyiro River. Lion, grevy's Zebra,Cheetah, Bufallo, Elephant, Oryx, reticulated Giraffe, somali ostrich etc are among the many animal species seen at the samburu game reserve. Overnight at your samburu lodge/tented camp.

Day 4: Samburu- Nairobi

• Early morning game viewing drive. Depart Samburu game reserve for Nairobi.
• Arrive Nairobi in the late afternoon.
• Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch
